2013 Nicaragua Team

Blue Ridge Baptist Church will join Gap Creek Baptist Church on a mission trip to Nicaragua, October 5-11, 2013. This mission trip is the last of three North Greenville Baptist Association trips to Nicaragua this year. We are partnering with Chosen Children Ministries to serve the people of Nicaragua. This Central American country is one of the poorest regions in the wesetern hemisphere only exceeded by Haiti. Unemployment is over 85%, the average wage is only $1-2 in US currency and people regularly scavenge the local dumps in search of something to eat, sell or wear.

Our team will work under the leadership of Chosen Children Ministries to complete construction projects, feeding the hungry, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Chosen Children Ministries exists to share God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Nicaragua, serving their spiritual and physical needs in ways that bring God glory, by planting churches, equipping leaders, strengthening families and individuals, evangelizing and discipling children and adults, establishing child sponsorships, giving humanitarian aid, and providing the operating needs for Casa Mephibosheth orphanage.

The cost of this trip is $1500 per team member. Please plan to support the Nicaragua Mission Team as they raise the funds necessary for this trip. Please contact the church office if you would like to donate to support this mission project.
